REMIX

The Remix project is a collaborative art initiative between Zeugma and artists from the Irish tradition, commissionned as part of the tenth anniversary of The Dock Arts Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon (Ireland).

Each time they meet, the artists have only a few days ahead of them to set up a production of nearly eighty minutes. Each time, the resulting production has to highlight the proximity of Irish and Quebec traditional cultures, while proposing a new aesthetics and a new vision of folklore merging both tradition and contemporary life.

From this collaboration emerged an enthralling, highly energetic production, at the crossroad of modernity and tradition, presented across Ireland and Canada in 2016 and 2017.
