Un hérisson dans mon cœur is a cultural outreach project that invites children aged 3 to 6 to discover percussive dance, traditional dance, and rhythm through an experience that is both playful and sensitive. Inspired by the performance Le hérisson, whose poetic and thematic universe it extends, the project weaves connections between movement, music, and storytelling, opening a space where imagination and emotion can fully unfold.

Developed in partnership with six elementary schools and daycare services in Laval, the project takes the form of a series of participatory workshops led by a duo of performers. Through round dances, playful activities and rhythmic explorations, children are invited to experience the joy of dancing together while engaging with the world of Le hérisson.

 

These encounters then lead to a live performance, where the young participants reconnect with the artists and take part in a collective moment inspired by their prior experience. This approach fosters a dynamic link between the workshop and the stage, highlighting the active participation of the children.

 

At the same time, Zeugma Danse continues to develop and refine its educational tools in order to offer experiences that are increasingly adapted to early childhood. The project also includes an evaluation process carried out in collaboration with partner organizations, ensuring its relevance and impact.

 

Through Un hérisson dans mon cœur, Zeugma Danse offers a meaningful encounter with the performing arts—a playful moment of discovery and poetry, where each child is invited to listen, feel, and participate.
